We have been running kite workshops and flying events since 2011. We have run projects in back gardens, beaches, schools, at festivals, private parties and corporate events. From one-to-one afternoon sessions to multi-week residences. If you have an idea for a project, were listening. Get in touch.
We specialise in single line kites of all shapes and sizes, teaching traditional techniques using natural materials.
Clients include: Barbican, Norwegian Government, Wilderness Festival, Factory International, Pitt Rivers Museum, National Trust, Wetland Wildlife Trust, Chatsworth House Trust and too many charities, schools and private clients to mention, but we thank you all!

We run workshops in schools, at festivals, parties and private events at which people design, make and fly their own kites (flying depends on the location and weather). Our workshops can be tailored to almost any age group and difficulty level. Some general benchmarks can be found below:

Here at Community Kite Project we believe fun and imagination are precious commodities. We would like to share them with as many people as possible. For hundreds of years kites have been built and flown across the globe by; Families, boys, girls, men and women for the pure pleasure of learning and enjoyment; indeed, kite flying around the world is synonymous with freedom, the outdoors, imagination, story telling and possibility.
